quarter life.
i turned 25 on thursday.
the bad:
- trip to the dmv (on the bright side, i aced the sign test and had a nice evaluator).
- my doctor called with some unhappy blood test results. going to see a specialist, yadda yadda.
- a massage that was great at first but made me like i’d been punched all over after. (thanks, autoimmune disorders!).
- my mom crying about my health issues.
the good:
- I DON’T HAVE CELIAC DISEASE AND I CAN EAT ALL THE BREAD I WANT. important.
- dinner at toast. lentil soup + crostini + pinot grigio. favorite restaurant in durham, hands down. i love bringing new people there.
- beers at fullsteam. chatham county paw paw belgian ale, cream ale, and working man’s lunch. impressions, accents, pictures, and an incredible chocolate cake by akiva.
- one drink at motorco (reunited with my ex-boyfriend, tom collins. i love gin.). 90s alternative rock. yelling pop culture references. bringing my friend circles closer together. i’m glad i let go of so many acquaintances. i have kick ass friends.
- sushi lunch on friday, courtesy of my littlest sister.
- i asked a friend for mentorship, and got it.
and photos:

working man’s lunch and chocolate cake, a match made in heaven.

classy.

a normal picture.
there’s discontent bubbling beneath the surface, but i think i’ll handle it well this year.
that’s what friends are for
primetimepoet replied to your quote: really, i just want a baklava cake in a fun,…
addendum: i would also like jason sudeikis for my birthday
"really, i just want a baklava cake in a fun, architectural style. like the leaning tower of baklava, or the sears baklava, or the empire baklava building. or the statue of baklava."
-planning for my birthday
